go用法

　　1.go用作连系动词时，通常表示主语处于某种状态或由某种状态向另一种状态转变，后面多接形容词作其表语，此类形容词往往意义不佳，如 go hun-gry(挨饿)，go thirsty(忍受口渴)，go mad(发狂)等。

　　2.常与有关颜色的形容词连用，大多表示情况变化的结果或程度。

　　3.当某人或某物的情况变坏时(一般来说，这种变化是不可逆的或永久性的)，也常用“go 形容词”来表示，即由正常情况变为不正常或特殊情况。

　　4.go还可与其他一些普通形容词或带有前缀un-的过去分词连用，构成表意广泛的结构。

go on后接不定式与接动名词

 ■go on to do sth 的意思是：做完某事后接着做另一事。其中的不定式为目的状语。如：

He went on to show us how to do it. 他接着又教我们如何做。

The minister went on to talk about foreign policy. 部长接着就谈外交政策。

Go on to do the other exercises after you have finished this one. 做完这个练习后， 请接着做其它的练习。

After approving the agenda, we went on to discuss finance. 通过了议事日程后，我们接着讨论财政问题。

He began by showing us where the island was and went on to tell us about its climate. 他先给我们指出那个岛的位置，接着就讲起岛上的气候来。

She stopped talking about her illness and went on to tell us about all her other problems. 她谈了她的病，接着给我们谈她的其他种种问题。

He began by describing the route and went on to tell us what the trip would probably cost.  他开始是描述这条路线，后来又告诉我们这次旅行可能要花多少钱。

After attacking the Government’s economic policy, he went on to describe how the Labour Party would reduce unemployment. 他抨击了政府的经济政策之后，接着讲述工党降低失业率的计划。

■go on doing sth 的意思是：继续(不停地)做正在做的事。如：

The minister went on talking for two hours. 部长一连谈了两个小时。

You can’t go on working all night without a rest. 你不能通宵工作而不休息。

We went on talking till after midnight. 我们继续谈话直到午夜以后。
